August Movie Night is August 23rd. Come in out of the heat and join us at 5pm for A Million Miles Away, A biopic about Jose Hernandez and his path from a farm worker to becoming an engineer and an astronaut. A tale of perseverance, community and sacrifice to accomplish a seemingly impossible dream. It is sure to be a great evening! Invite your friends and be sure to join us. As always, free pizza and pop are served.
We are collecting donations of crayons, erasers, rulers, markers, scissors, notepaper, etc. for our fall filling of Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. A box of Crayons can be bought for just two quarters. Check out the saving deals at Walmart, Staples, Meijer, etc. Items can be left in the trunk in the narthex. Thank you for your donations.
College students are returning to the classroom. Please be sure to submit your college students and/or military addresses to the church office so that we can update our prayer list and get your special person on our mailing list for the blessings we send out throughout the year. Email Laura at office@princeofpeacefhills.org
ESL potluck luncheon at PoP at 11:30 AM on August 24. All ESL students, teachers, helpers and their families and friends are invited. Please bring one of your favorite dishes to share with other people. We'll provide tea, coffee and water. Kids are welcome too. Want more information? Talk with Chris Moses.
Family of God Needs -We continue to support Family of God throughout the year with our donations of items that they have requested to keep their ministry moving forward and thriving! Have you come across any “sales” lately? Please keep FoG in the back of your mind as you shop the paper product/cleaning aisle. They are always in need of Foam carry-out containers, wrapped plastic ware, plates and napkins. Bleach, floor cleaners, hand soap and sanitizers are also a need. If you see something and are moved to help, please feel free to drop your items off into the collection trunk location in the narthex. We will be sure to take all items donated to Family of God when we serve on the 3rd Monday of each month. Print off the 2024 Needs list attached and take it with you when you shop! Shopping not your thing? We have a designated account specifically used to cover the cost of meals for Family of God. Consider making a special donation to this account to help those in need. Thank you for your support!

CARDINAL COMFORT - In the wake of recent events happening at Concordia University Ann Arbor, most (if not all) of current CUAA Cardinals have faced fear, sadness, anger, and anxiety about the future. Cardinal Comfort, a new program, is looking for volunteer Champions to pray for and encourage current Cardinal students, faculty, and staff for the 2024/25 school year. Champions will be assigned a Cardinal to pray for daily, send an encouraging letter or card at least monthly, and send a care package at least once per semester. If you are interested in offering prayer and hope by becoming a Cardinal Comfort Champion, please sign up here.
Please note the church office is on our summer schedule. Church office hours until Labor Day are Monday through Thursday, 8am-4pm and Friday 8am to noon.
