At the voters' meeting on February 2, 2025, the congregation approved the recommendation to call a candidate from one of our seminaries to serve as our next pastor. The appropriate paperwork has been submitted to the district and we will await a response. We should know by the beginning of April if we will be welcoming a graduate pastor who would start sometime this summer. In the meantime, the board approved the formation of a call committee to begin the process of calling a pastor from the field (already serving a congregation). On our call committee are: Jesse Brindle, Doug Butler, Terry Fraser, Bonnie Hart, Ed Kaiser, Kim Rinn, Irene Vaslas, Dick Walker, Elder and Sue Williams. If we do not receive a seminary candidate, we should be in a position to interview and evaluate candidates and issue a call in late spring or early summer. I wanted you all to know that I've received a Call from Calvary Lutheran in Indianapolis to serve as associate pastor of spiritual care and adult education. This is a large church on the south side of Indianapolis. Joan and I will be visiting with them this weekend (and going to our granddaughter's birthday party). They are aware of our plans to conclude ministry here at Prince of Peace at the end of June. If I accept this call, I do not anticipate any changes to our ministry plans at Prince of Peace. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Lent is underway!  Join us on Wednesday evenings here at 7pm for worship and dinner before at 6. Our circuit noon worship services are at St Paul’s Northville this year with a luncheon following.

Clocks spring forward this weekend as daylight saving time begins!  Be sure to set your clocks and join us for worship!

March night at the Movies!  Join us for Queen Bees, a comedy about the young at heart! This movie tells the story of a woman who after reluctantly agreeing to move into a home for seniors, encounters a clique of mean-spirited women and an amorous widower.  Join us for an evening of laughter and fun!  As always, a pizza dinner is provided! May 29—Forever Young: Detroit Historic Tour – The Forever Young group is taking a Detroit History Tour to see buildings designed by the famous Albert Kahn. We will be led by Michael G Smith, President of the Albert Kahn Legacy Foundation. We will "dive into the life and legacy of Albert Kahn, the visionary architect who transformed Detroit's skyline and industrial landscape." The group will be picked up by a tour bus at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Livonia at 1:30pm. Snacks and water are allowed on the bus. The tour will include opportunities to go inside the buildings as well. We will return to CoS around 4:30pm. The trip, which includes a tour bus and guided tour, costs $50 per person.
